Do you ever wonder why it's so damn hard to be happy sometimes? It's like no matter what is going good in our lives, there is always something bringing us away from that joy and stressing us out.
The reason this happens is because our brain is not designed to make us happy, it's designed with one simple mission in mind: survival.
And in order to survive, our brain (think million year ago hardware) insists on seeking out the "dangers" in our lives. It's constantly scanning the perimeter for any risks or foreseeable problems in the future. Back in the day, it was looking out for sabre-toothed tigers, today it settles for the risk of rejection, fear of failure and stranger danger.
