Some Spooky Self-Help for Halloween

Everyone loves to dress up and pretend we are someone else for the day, but does that trend really end when Halloween is over and the pumpkins are put away?

Unfortunately many of us grew up experiencing "conditional love" which made us believe we had to be a certain way to be lovable. This totally whack belief results in us wearing masks long after Halloween is over.

I spent most of my life as a "social chameleon" magically transforming into whatever I felt the crowd I was with would enjoy.

This left me feeling so empty because I never knew if they liked the real me, or just the person I was pretending to be. I sold myself out for a hit of that externally-validating acceptance. But by earning it the way I did, I failed to see the most important person who wasn't accepting me was: me!

Check out this week's video, grab some candy corn and let's be sure to leave the masks behind on Nov 1st!

Sending love, light & self-acceptance,
-L.K.
