For $20, you could have two to three years supply of laundry detergent!

I'm not a big DIY gal, but when it comes to super easy ways to save major dollas, I'm down for just about anything.

When I heard a co-worker talking about making her own laundry detergent I thought it sounded time consuming and inconvenient, and really how much money could I save?

Well I spent $20 on my DIY detergent recipe TWO years ago, and I'm not even half way through them yet. So for $20 you could have laundry detergent for years, and it can be done in the time it takes to boil a pot of water.

You interested in how I do it?

Watch the video below:
For your DIY Detergent you will need:
-1 empty laundry detergent bottle
-4 tbsp of blue Dawn Dish Soap
-1/4 cup Borax
-1/4 cup Washing Soda
-boiling water

While boiling water, put three remaining ingredients in empty detergent bottle. Pour in boiling water so that bottle is about 1/5 full. Shake bottle to mix all ingredients together. Allow to cool. Once detergent concentrate is cooled, fill bottle with cold water and store.

**Shake bottle before as each use, as detergent may settle to bottom of bottle. Use about 1 cup of detergent per load.

You can add essential oils to your detergent if you'd prefer a specific scent for your laundry. So far I've just left is as is, and I think it smells lovely.

Please let me know if you like the tutorial, and please feel free to share if you think your friends might appreciate saving a few extra dollas!

Sending love & light
